I am a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology and Demography at the University of Pennsylvania. My research interests include inequality, family, gender, children & youth, and health. Much of my work is adopting a cross-national comparative perspective. Broadly, my current research agenda encompasses three lines of work. First, my dissertation project considers gender dynamics in marriage and family, with a focus on couples' relative socioeconomic status. The second line of research examines how children's life chances and lifestyles are gendered and stratified across families and societies. Lastly, I also have a keen interest in marital formation, dissolution, and re-partnership in South Korea. My work has appeared in Social Science & Medicine and Demographic Research.
