Douglas Guilbeault is a Ph.D. candidate studying Computational Sociology in the Network Dynamics Group led by Damon Centola at the University of Pennsylvania. His work has appeared in a number of journals, including The Proceedings of the National Academy of the Sciences, Policy and Internet, and The Journal of International Affairs, as well as in popular news outlets, such as The Atlantic and Wired. Doug has received top research awards from The International Conference on Computational Social Science, The Cognitive Science Society, and The International Communication Association. His research is supported by funding from The Gates Foundation, The Social Sciences Research Council of Canada, Facebook, and The Institute for Research on Innovation and Science. In 2020, he will join the Haas Business School at the University of California, Berkeley as an assistant professor in the Management of Organizations.
