Dorothy Roberts has been selected to receive the Society of Family Planning Lifetime Achievement Award. She will be honored in November at the 2016 annual meeting, the North American Forum on Family Planning, in Denver.

The Society of Family Planning, established in 2005, works to advance family planning research and education, providing evidence-based insight to improve clinical care in the areas of contraception and abortion. With nearly 650 members, we also seek to cultivate a collaborative and supportive environment to foster scholarly activity and leadership in the areas of reproductive health and family planning.

The SFP Lifetime Achievement Award was established in 2005 and is one of three awards that SFP grants yearly. Past recipients of the award are Drs. David Grimes, Leon Speroff, Daniel R. Mishell, Jr., Sheldon Segal, Jacqui Darroch, Carolyn Westhoff, Philip Darney, Carole Joffe, Horacio Croxatto, and Stanley Henshaw.
