Drawing on themes from her dissertation, Nora Gross produced a short documentary film in collaboration with teenagers from Philadelphia about their experiences with grief in the aftermath of neighborhood gun violence. The 15-minute film, Our Philadelphia, premiered this past weekend on YouTube. The film was directed by three teens, edited by the local independent production company Draulhaus, and features music from young Philadelphia artists. The project was funded by the Sachs Program for Arts Innovation, the Center for Experimental Ethnography, and the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
