C’22 Sociology major and peer tutor Rowana Miller recently wrote an article for Slate Magazine about the role of the Zoom chat in online learning. Based on her experience as a student and tutor, she has found that the chat has the potential to not only substitute for in-person channels of community-building but — in some cases — improve classroom communication.
