Joanna Kempner (Ph.D., 2004) has received the 2016 Eliot Freidson Outstanding Publication Award from the Medical Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association. The award was given for Joanna's work, Not Tonight Dear: Migraines and the Politics of Gender and Health (University of Chicago Press, 2014).
