Peter Catron, Postdoctoral Fellow, Wins Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award for ASA's Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility Section

Peter Catron, Postdoctoral Fellow, has been awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Paper Award for "Made in America? Immigrant Occupational Mobility in the First Half of the Twentieth Century", from the American Sociological Association's Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility section. Catron's paper was published in the American Journal of Sociology last year.

Peter has also been awarded the 2017 IPUMS Research award for best contribution of U.S. research by a graduate student for his paper, "The Citizenship Advantage: Immigrant Socioeconomic Attainment across Generations in the Age of Mass Migration." More information on that award  can be found here.
