Ocampo has been awarded the GAPSA-Provost Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Innovation to conduct research for her dissertation on the social acceptance of Latino immigrants. As a jointly funded venture by GAPSA (Graduate and Professional Student Assembly) and the Office of the Provost, this highly competitive fellowship awards $6000 to original, student-derived projects that integrate knowledge across diverse academic disciplines.
