Research by Penn alumnus Arielle Kuperberg was discussed extensively in the Atlantic Magazine in its March 21, 2014 edition (Online version of the article is here). Professor Kuperberg, who received her PhD in Sociology and Demography 2010, found that cohabitation is increasingly a step on the road toward marriage rather than a permanent alternative lifestyle. The Atlantic article was in turn cited in many news stories in papers a the US and Europe.
