Lauren Joseph is an assistant professor of sociology at The Pennsylvania State University, Schuylkill Campus. She received her PhD from Stony Brook University in 2010, with a dissertation entitled "The Production of Pride: Institutionalization and LGBT Pride Organizations." Her research interests lie in the areas of gender & sexuality, social movements, urban sociology, and ethnographic methodology.
